Autism affects 1 in 44 children who tend to have intellectual delays including verbal and behavioral challenges. Boys are four times more likely to be diagnosed with Autism than girls. Autism affects all ethnic and socioeconomic groups, but tend to be diagnosed later and less often in minority groups.
Positively Kids AUTISM AWARENESS EASTER EGG-STRAVAGANZA will provide an opportunity for children on the Autism spectrum to improve manual dexterity, improve fine & gross motor skills, increase verbal skills, and receive behavioral training while decorating eggs and playing at sensory tables.
Vendors will be at the event to provide families with community resources on Autism and related services. If you would like to exhibit at the event, please contact Kris Nocon at KrisNocon@PositivelyKids.org.
You too can participate! For only $50, you can provide a participating child an Easter basket filled with craft activities, stuffed animal, and a chocolate Easter bunny! Click HERE to donate a basket.
